Family History Research

The museum has an extensive archive for family history research much of which is available online. More archives are available to museum visitors in the dedicated family history research room. It is possible to provide access to this resource outside the usual museum opening times. You can use the contact button to get in touch.

We regret that the museum is not able to undertake family research on your behalf.

Coggeshall Speaks!

Video Joan Joslin who was born in November 1922 recalling times past in Coggeshall.

The recording was made by Steve Williams in 2006 for the Coggeshall Heritage Society.

Coggeshall Carnival

Video of Coggeshall Carnival 1982. In 17th July 1982. Mike Cutmore spent a day at the Carnival and on the Coggeshall Bazaar Carnival Float, taking part in the procession itself and photographing on Super 8mm film.

The walk is on paved paths and accessible by wheelchair except for the last three locations on Abbey Lane, which is an unmade road and can difficult especially in wet weather.
